STUDY ABROAD IN LATIN AMERICA
Business and commerce have gone global and an understanding of management and business practices in the rest of the world is a vital part of contemporary business education. International experience is critical for students who want to do business abroad and the experience of living and working in a developing country teaches you to be adaptable and open-minded.
Internships offer excellent experiential opportunities to see and conduct business in an international setting. You gain experience in professional areas such as Marketing, Sales & Client Service, and Accounting, while getting involved with market research, data analysis, organizing events, and providing administrative support in English for your colleagues.
Customized programs make the most of Maximo Nivel’s in-country network with visits to small, mid-sized, and large companies. Why I Maximo Nivel
This was one of the best facilities I have ever seen. I will never forget the care that was given by the staff. I never felt lost and everyone was very helpful. I never felt unsafe or scared. The work and study hours allowed to be able to experience the culture outside of my host family and facility. I have made friends and experiences that will last a lifetime. I really hope to come back soon.

MICRO-BUSINESS IN LATIN AMERICA
Stable in development with significantly advancing economies, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru are exciting places to do business! When businesses have the chance to succeed in Latin America, they can be a major contributor to employment and the overall economic base of these developing countries. However, entrepreneurs in Latin America need marketing knowledge and help in reaching out to international customers. They need more opportunities and better understanding of how to expand their services and develop their products.
Internship placements are with micro-businesses—small, local companies—where you work with in-country entrepreneurs and business owners to help them improve their companies and expand their capacity to market to and serve international clients. Internships can be customized, but usually focus on specific areas such as Marketing, Sales & Client Service, or Accounting. Your daily responsibilities vary as you learn to wear multiple hats in small, but busy enterprises and get involved with operations, production, training, and distribution.
